Pros and cons of VetPDA Calcs app for iPhone and iPad

VetPDA Calcs app good for

Usually I utilise it in the middle of the night. When Im seeing emergencies and dont trust my brain anymore. Its perfect. To find it useful, you should in general have an idea of what you are doing, so it does not replace studying. It doesnt tell you anything about contraindications or side effects. But it saves you from calculation errors. I love it.
Excellent - From California Davis College of Veterinary Medicine : what else would you exect?

Some bad moments

After rummaging through the trash of veterinary applications, I was ecstatic to find this prize! Everything that you could possibly need for clinical rotations from a trustworthy source! Thank you, thank you, thank you! The highest recommendation!!!
I was a beta tester for this app at UC Davis and found it a great help. I am glad to see it is now available for purchase. This is great for vets and even has features I will have my techs use. I got far more use out of it in my 1 year of beta testing than the asking price so I purchased it with barely a second thought. Also helpful for vet students.
A very nice application for everyday use in the hospital. This is a big time-saver for calculating dosages and CRIs, and its a nice way for me to double-check my math. Very customizable, for example, the CRI dosages can be changed to mcg/kg/sec, or mcg/kg/min, or mg/kg/sec or min instead. The anesthesia drug calculation section has recommended dosages discreetly in the corner of the screen, and will already suggest the most common formulation, ie: diazepam at 5mg/mL, although you can change it if you like. This is a very useful and practical app. Well worth the price!
Im a veterinary student and I was very happy to find this application. In the instances Ive used it thus far it has been most helpful, and I would recommend it to my classmates. Please make more veterinary based iPhone applications!
Very useful and reliable calculators for ER and GP work; User friendly; Already lots of great updates
A great app, overall, but a few things would make it very helpful to a GP like me: -- Allow a user setting to use lbs as the default over kgs. -- Why is there no overweight option for dogs, just cats? -- It would be crazy helpful to be able to store my typical dosages for commonly used drugs and just select a drug from my list. Maybe allow the user to store up to 20 drugs for quick calculation? Overall excellent, but Id love to see these changes in a future version, would make it useful enough to me to be a 5.
